Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –

Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 103 which forms the basis for all obviousness rejections set forth in this Office action:
A patent for a claimed invention may not be obtained, notwithstanding that the claimed invention is not identically disclosed as set forth in section 102, if the differences between the claimed invention and the prior art are such that the claimed invention as a whole would have been obvious before the effective filing date of the claimed invention to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the claimed invention pertains. Patentability shall not be negated by the manner in which the invention was made.
The factual inquiries for establishing a background for determining obviousness under 35 U.S.C. 103 are summarized as follows:
1. Determining the scope and contents of the prior art.
2. Ascertaining the differences between the prior art and the claims at issue.
3. Resolving the level of ordinary skill in the pertinent art.
4. Considering objective evidence present in the application indicating obviousness or nonobviousness.
Claim(s) 11, 13, and 19 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 103 as being unpatentable over Xu (US 10585637) and in view of Hatano (US 10705726).
As per claim 11, Xu discloses all limitations of claim 1.
Hu however does not expressly disclose:
the system of claim 1, wherein the second electronic device is further configured to: display a security authentication interface in the window in response to receiving the first operation, and send authentication information to the first electronic device upon receiving an operation of the user entering the authentication information in the security authentication interface, wherein, upon receiving the authentication information, the first electronic device is further configured to send a message indicating that authentication is successful to the second electronic device when the authentication information satisfies a preset value, and wherein the second electronic device is configured to send screen projection request to the first electronic device in response to receiving the message indicating that authentication is successful.
Hatano discloses:
the system of claim 1, wherein the second electronic device is further configured to:
display a security authentication interface in the window in response to receiving the first operation (Transition of the password input screen on the display 124 caused by a user operation using any of the buttons 202a to 202e of the five-button unit 202, or by a touch operation using the touchpad 110, will next be described. It is assumed here that a password is input using the buttons 202a to 202e of the five-button unit 202, See Col. 12, Lines 37 - 42); and
send authentication information to the first electronic device upon receiving an operation of the user entering the authentication information in the security authentication interface (In response to a user operation on the button 202e of the five-button unit 202, the mobile PC 16 accepts the five-character string represented by the objects a1-n (five characters located at each center position in a1-1-a1-5, e.g., “01K5G” in (B) of FIG. 9) as the input password, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57),
wherein, upon receiving the authentication information, the first electronic device is further configured to send a message indicating that authentication is successful to the second electronic device when the authentication information satisfies a preset value (If the password that has been input is a correct password, the mobile PC 16 successfully completes the user authentication, and then performs a login procedure. Otherwise, if the password that has been input is incorrect, the mobile PC 16 displays the password input screen on the display 124 to prompt the user to re-enter the password. If the number of repetition of authentication trials reaches a threshold value, the mobile PC 16 ensures the security by locking the system so that the mobile PC 16 is no more usable unless personnel such as a system administrator performs a predetermined unlock procedure, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57), and,
wherein the second electronic device is configured to send screen projection request to the first electronic device in response to receiving the message indicating that authentication is successful (A screen sharing function of displaying the entire desk-top screen of the operator terminal 12 or a window of an arbitrary application program on the wearable device 23 during a voice call, See Col. 3, Lines 46 - 49 … If the password that has been input is a correct password, the mobile PC 16 successfully completes the user authentication, and then performs a login procedure, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57).
It would have been obvious to an artisan of ordinary skill in the art before the Applicant's effective filing date of the claimed invention to combine Hatano’s teaching of displaying a security authentication interface in response to reception of the first operation, along with a second electronic device is configured to receive a first operation of a user to improve Xu’s system. Both Xu and Hatano disclose systems for screen sharing applications between various devices. Hatano’s system includes a password input interface for determining user authentication. The combination is an improvement upon the existing system because a second electronic device can be configured to receive a first operation of a user, as taught by Xu, where in response to the reception of the first operation, a security authentication interface can be displayed, as taught by Hatano, to allow seamless integration of screen sharing applications on various types of devices.
As per claim 13, the system of claim 12, wherein
the second device is further configured to send the authentication information to the first electronic device through a third communication connection (Hatano, In response to a user operation on the button 202e of the five-button unit 202, the mobile PC 16 accepts the five-character string represented by the objects a1-n (five characters located at each center position in a1-1-a1-5, e.g., “01K5G” in (B) of FIG. 9) as the input password, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57),
wherein the first electronic device is further configured to send the message indicating that authentication is successful to the second electronic device through the third communication connection (Hatano, If the password that has been input is a correct password, the mobile PC 16 successfully completes the user authentication, and then performs a login procedure, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57), and
wherein the third communication connection is different from the first communication connection and different from the second communication connection (Hatano, The connection between the operator terminal 12 and network 22 may be made by wireless communication or may be made by wire communication, See Col. 4, Lines 42 - 52).
As per claim 19, the method of claim 14, wherein before receiving the request for starting screen projection, the method further comprises:
receiving, through a third communication connection, authentication information from the second electronic device (Hatano, In response to a user operation on the button 202e of the five-button unit 202, the mobile PC 16 accepts the five-character string represented by the objects a1-n (five characters located at each center position in a1-1-a1-5, e.g., “01K5G” in (B) of FIG. 9) as the input password, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57); and
sending a message indicating that authentication is successful to the second electronic device through the third communication connection when the authentication information satisfies a preset value (Hatano, If the password that has been input is a correct password, the mobile PC 16 successfully completes the user authentication, and then performs a login procedure. 13, Lines 42 – 57), to cause the second electronic device to send the screen projection request to the first electronic device (Hatano, A screen sharing function of displaying the entire desk-top screen of the operator terminal 12 or a window of an arbitrary application program on the wearable device 23 during a voice call, See Col. 3, Lines 46 - 49 … If the password that has been input is a correct password, the mobile PC 16 successfully completes the user authentication, and then performs a login procedure, See Col. 13, Lines 42 – 57).
