DETAILED ACTION
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-4 and 8-10 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1)/(a)(2) as being anticipated by Kim (US 2021/0215350), which shows all of the claimed limitations. Kim shows:
1. A fume extracting mechanism, comprising: an air duct assembly (100), wherein the air duct assembly (100) comprises a longitudinally-extending first flow channel (200) and a transversely-extending second flow channel (300), the second flow channel is in communication with a lower part of the first flow channel (fig. 9), an air inlet (110) is opened at an upper part of the first flow channel (fig. 9), a connection opening (102) is opened on the second flow channel (fig. 4), and the first flow channel and the second flow channel form a bending channel for air flow (fig.9); a volute fan (130), wherein an air inlet end in a middle part of the volute fan is connected with the connection opening (fig. 4,9)), and the volute fan sucks air from the bending channel such that the air enters the air inlet and flows through the bending channel and then flows out of an exhaust opening (401) of the volute fan (para. 0070-0073).
2. The fume extracting mechanism of claim 1, wherein the first flow channel extends vertically, the second flow channel extends horizontally, and the first flow channel and the second flow channel form an L shape (fig. 2-10).
3. The fume extracting mechanism of claim 1, wherein the connection opening is opened on an upper end surface of the second flow channel, the volute fan is placed on the second flow channel, the air inlet end faces downward to connect with the connection opening, and the exhaust opening faces horizontally (fig. 2-10).
4. The fume extracting mechanism of claim 1, wherein the air inlet with an opening facing upward is opened on a top of the first flow channel (fig. 2-10).
8. An induction cooker integrated stove, comprising a base body (2), an induction cooker (12a,12b; para. 0052) and the fume extracting mechanism mentioned in claim 1, wherein the induction cooker is mounted on the base body, the fume extracting mechanism is mounted inside the base body, an induced air pipe (500) is disposed at a side of the base body (fig. 1,2), the exhaust opening (401) is in communication with the induced air pipe (fig. 2-18), a bearing platform (10) is disposed on an upper part of the base body, and the air inlet (112) is connected to the bearing platform (fig. 1-18).
9. The induction cooker integrated stove of claim 8, wherein the air inlet is higher than or flush with an upper end surface of the bearing platform (fig. 1), and the induction cooker is located below the bearing platform (fig. 1,8).
10. The induction cooker integrated stove of claim 8, wherein one or more induction cookers (12a,12b) are mounted on the base body, and the air inlet is connected at a middle position or a position of a side of the bearing platform (fig. 2,3).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 5-7 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
