Claims 1, 4-9 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor, or for pre-AIA the applicant regards as the invention.
Claim 1 recites “to interpret the meaning of numerical data by referring to ID management data” but it unclear how that is done or what role that plays in the rest of the claim. Examiner’s understanding of the claim is that this is a central element in the inventive concept however it is unclear if that is the case. This recited concept makes the claims indefinite and makes the inventive concept unclear.
Claim 1 recites “accessing numerical data via different communication media” however it is unclear what this relative to or what using the same communication might look like. Examiner’s understanding of the claim is that this is a central element in the inventive concept however it is unclear if that is the case. This recited concept makes the claims indefinite and makes the inventive concept unclear.
Claim 1 recites “physical type ID” but is unclear what exactly this is referring to or what conceptually it represents
Claim 1 recites a physical type ID include a character string corresponding to each physical type ID which does not make sense how a physical type ID could contain a string for each physical type ID if itself is a physical type ID making the claim indefinite.
