Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
DETAILED ACTION
Information Disclosure Statement
1. The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on 09/25/2024 and 03/17/2026 has been considered by Examiner and made of record in the application file.
2. Claims 3, 7-8, 10-14, 18-19, 22, 25, 28-30, 32-36, 38, 40-46 and 49-50 are canceled.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
3. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
4. Claims 1, 23 and 47-48 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Gao et al. (U.S PAT. 12,557,031 hereinafter, “Gao”).
Consider claim 1, Gao teaches a power control method, performed by a terminal, comprising: receiving indication information sent by a network device, wherein the indication information indicates a power control parameter for an uplink transmission corresponding to each TRP among a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs) (col. 3, lines 29-53 and col. 4, line 43 through col. 5, line 13).
Consider claim 23, the subject-matter of independent claim 23 relates to a power control method, performed by a network device with features fully corresponding to the characteristics of claim 1. Therefore, the same argumentation presented in relation to claim 1 is, mutatis mutandis, of application to claim 23.
Consider claim 47, the subject-matter of independent claim 47 relates to a terminal with features fully corresponding to the characteristics of claim 1. Therefore, the same argumentation presented in relation to claim 1 is, mutatis mutandis, of application to claim 47.
Consider claim 48, the subject-matter of independent claim 48 relates to a network device with features fully corresponding to the characteristics of claim 23. Therefore, the same argumentation presented in relation to claim 23 is, mutatis mutandis, of application to claim 48.
Allowable Subject Matter
5. Claims 2, 4-6, 9, 15-17, 20-21, 24, 26-27, 31, 37 and 39 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
Consider claim 2, the prior arts made of record, alone or in combination, fail to clearly teach or fairly suggest wherein the power control parameter for uplink transmission corresponding to each TRP comprises an open loop power parameter and a closed loop power parameter; wherein the open loop power parameter is used for compensating signal loss caused by path loss and shadow fading, and the closed loop power parameter refers to a power adjustment value indicated by the network device for a second uplink transmission indication of the terminal according to an uplink power measured on a first uplink transmission; wherein the open loop power parameter and a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state are in a one-to-one correspondence, in combination with other limitations, as specified in the independent claim 1, and further limitations of their respective dependent claims 4-6, 9, 15-17, 20 and 21.
Consider claim 24, the prior arts made of record, alone or in combination, fail to clearly teach or fairly suggest wherein the power control parameter for uplink transmission corresponding to each TRP comprises an open loop power parameter and a closed loop power parameter; wherein the open loop power parameter is used for compensating signal loss caused by path loss and shadow fading, and the closed loop power parameter refers to a power adjustment value indicated by the network device for a second uplink transmission indication of the terminal according to an uplink power measured on a first uplink transmission; wherein the open loop power parameter and a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state are in a one-to-one correspondence, in combination with other limitations, as specified in the independent claim 24, and further limitations of their respective dependent claims 26-27, 31, 37 and 39.
