Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 101
35 U.S.C. 101 reads as follows:
Whoever invents or discovers any new and useful process, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, or any new and useful improvement thereof, may obtain a patent therefor, subject to the conditions and requirements of this title.
Claims 1-12,14 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 101 because the claimed invention is directed to an abstract idea without significantly more. The claims recite routine data gathering such as measuring , determining , combining , determining . There is nothing else being done to the motor . The judicial exception is not integrated into a practical application.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1,8-12,14 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by 2007/268068 cited by Applicant .
Servo adjustment method ( claim 1 , fig 5A,5B) of a motor driving device that drives a motor by outputting a control command based on a motor operation command and motor operation amount to the motor , servo adjustment method comprising frequency characteristic measurement step ( fig 5A, step 502) of measuring a frequency characteristic of motor operation amount with respect to the control command, rigidity determination step ( fig 5A, steps 504,506) of determining based on the frequency characteristic a highest rigidity that is a maximum candidate value satisfying a predetermined margin among a plurality of candidate values of rigidity index for determine responsiveness of motor driving device disturbance ( fig 5A, where rigidity index defined in claim is interpreted as being equivalent to total inertia of system defined in step 506) and index measurement step ( fig 5A, step 53, where the index corresponds to control parameters) of coming rigidity index and command response index for determining responsiveness of motor operation command to measure an evaluation index during operation by an internal position command based on a command pattern that is an operation pattern of motor to be commanded to motor driving device or an external position command from host device, wherein rigidity determination step is executed after frequency characteristic measurement step and index measuring step is executed after rigidity determination step . With respect to dependent claim 8 resonance suppressor is shown ( fig 5A,5B, steps 508,510,512,514). Claims 9-11 regarding index measurement step are disclosed ( fig 5A,5B steps 510,512 514, 516,518,520). Claim 12 regarding command is disclosed in ( fig 1 reference 102 ,). Claim 14 is similar to claim 1 .
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure discloses Servo adjustment .
