The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
This is a non-final Office Action for serial number 18/858,562, Removable Tank For A Vehicle In Particular For A Motor Vehicle And Vehicle Provided With At Least One Such Tank, filed on October 21, 2024.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-10, and 11-18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Claim 1 recites the limitation "the association of the first and second connectors" in lines 5-6. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Regarding claim 1, line 5, “a motor vehicle” – is it the same as a vehicle in line 1?
Regarding claim 11, line 2, it is not clear what “it” referred to?
Claim 11 recites the limitation "said connection position" in lines 15-16. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Claim 11 recites the limitation "said receiving position" in line 16. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claim 1 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action.
The prior art fails to disclose wherein the tank body is elongated and is surrounded by a lateral protective shell of the tank body and the shell comprising at least two gripping being suitable for associating with the shell with a positioning shuttle.
Claim 11 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action.
The prior art fails to disclose wherein at least one compartment being equipped with at least one second connector, and first and second coupling elements engaging with the two engagement elements.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure.
