Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 10 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Mizutani et al CN 1291520 C.
A laminated dielectric resonator (a resonator can function as a filter) comprising a upper ground electrode 12a and a lower ground electrode 12b disposed opposite each other while being vertically spaced apart from each other; striplines 18a 18b 18c connected to ground electrode 12c (i.e. a separate ground) disposed between the upper ground and the lower ground; the plurality of elements 20 and 22 (i.e. plurality of signal parts ) disposed between the striplines and each of the upper ground and the lower ground to form a resonator; and a passage hole 24 (i.e. a connection part) connecting the striplines and the plurality of elements to each of the upper ground and the lower ground through ground electrode 12c.

Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-9 and 11-20 are allowed.
The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: The prior art does not disclose or fairly teach the specific circuit configuration with emphasis on a plurality of connection parts extending in the first direction to conductively connect at least two of the plurality of grounds, the plate signal part, and the line signal part to each other, wherein the second direction intersects the first direction, and the third direction intersects each of the first and second directions, wherein the plurality of grounds includes: a bottom ground: a top ground disposed above the bottom ground in the first direction: and a first separate ground disposed between the bottom ground and the top ground in the first direction.
