DETAILED ACTION This is a response to Applicant’s communication filed on September 15, 2025. Application No. 18/862,234, filed November 1, 2024, is a 371 of PCT/US2023/066717, filed May 8, 2023, and claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional application No. 63/339,860, filed May 9, 2022. In a preliminary amendment filed September 15, 2025, Applicant cancelled claims 14-37 and 51-62. Claims 1-13 and 38-50 are pending. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102(a)(1) The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claims 1-13 and 38-50 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Burkhart et al., US2017/0189379 A1. Burkhart discloses a method of treating cancer in a subject comprising administering to the subject in need thereof a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof of Formula I and a checkpoint inhibitor (i.e., kinase inhibitors, nucleoside analog chemotherapeutic agents, and/or as a adjuvant therapies to other known cancer treating agents), wherein the compound having Formula I comprises: PNG media_image1.png 259 321 media_image1.png Greyscale (CBL0137). See Burkhart et al., US PG Pub ‘379, para. [0021]-[0024], [0039]-[0042]; and [0059]-[0061]. Conclusion No claims are allowed.
