Drawings
The drawings were received on 11/01/2024. These drawings are reviewed and accepted by the Examiner.
Information Disclosure Statement
The information disclosure statement (IDS), submitted on 11/01/2024, is in compliance with the provisions of 37 CRR 1.97. Accordingly, the information disclosure statement is being considered by the examiner.
Claim Objections
Claims 13, 17, and 21 are objected to because of the following informalities:
Regarding claim 13, line 5, the acronym “PPM” should be spelled out; line 10, the acronym “RF” should be spelled out; line 19, the term “the respective driving signal” should be --the respective driving signals-- as referred to line 12.
Regarding claim 17, line 3, the acronym “RC” should be spelled out.
Regarding claim 21, line 4, the acronym “RF” should be spelled out; line 8, the acronym “PPM” should be spelled out.
Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 13-24 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
Regarding claim 13, line 1, the term “the radio transmission” lacks antecedent basis.
Regarding claim 14, line 6, the term “the sum” lacks antecedent basis.
Claims 15-20 are rejected by virtue of their dependency.
Regarding claim 21, line 1, the term “the radio transmission” lacks antecedent basis.
Regarding claim 22, line 7, the term “the sum” lacks antecedent basis.
Claims 23-24 are rejected by virtue of their dependency.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 13, 21 would be allowable if rewritten or amended to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action.
Claims 14-20, 22-24 would be allowable if rewritten to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action and to include all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: none of the prior art discloses or suggests that a transmission device for the radio transmission of local measurements of physical values comprises a microcontroller and a pulse generator connected to the microcontroller, the microcontroller being adapted to receive at least one detection signal that is representative of at least one measurement value and to control the pulse generator so that it generates at least one PPM signal which comprises information that corresponds to the at least one measurement value, comprising: the pulse generator comprising an oscillator and a power amplifier with an input connected to the oscillator to amplify RF pulses in output from the oscillator and emit the PPM signal on the basis of a selective activation of the oscillator and of the power amplifier by respective driving signals with rectangular pulses generated by the microcontroller, wherein the microcontroller is adapted, for each PPM pulse of the PPM signal to be generated, to activate and deactivate the oscillator and the power amplifier so that the oscillator is activated prior to the activation of the power amplifier and is deactivated after the deactivation of the power amplifier, and wherein the transmission device further comprises a low-pass filter between the microcontroller and the power amplifier, the low-pass filter being adapted to slow the deactivation of the amplifier while the oscillator is kept active by the respective driving signal as recited in claims 13, and 21.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure.
Kowalevicz et al (US 2017/0150347) disclose a device and method for baseband signal encryption. L9 6/7
Holinski et al (US 2020/0078596) disclose a garment for positioning midfield transmitter relative to implanted receiver. L2224/122
