Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Claims 1-20 are pending. Information Disclosure Statement The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on March 6, 2025 has been considered by the examiner. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim(s) 1-3, 17 and 18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Chinese Patent No. CN101299282 to Marzolo (A machine translation is included with this action and referred to herein). Regarding claims 1 and 17, the Marzolo patent teaches a lottery ticket printing system comprising: a supply paper roll holder 4a configured to support a removable lottery ticket paper roll 4c; a lottery ticket printer4b; and a lottery ticket terminal 2 comprising a processor and a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor cause the processor to: determine a plurality of draw lottery tickets; and cause the lottery ticket printer to print the plurality of draw lottery tickets in a form of a printed lottery ticket roll using a lottery ticket paper roll supported by the supply paper roll holder. See Fig. 1 and pages 3-5 of the translation. Regarding claims 2 and 18, the printed lottery ticket roll comprises a continuous strip of lottery ticket paper. See Fig. 1 part 4c showing a roll which is a continuous strip of lottery ticket paper. Regarding claim 3, the plurality of draw lottery tickets printed on the printed lottery ticket roll comprise draw lottery tickets for a plurality of ticket purchasers. See pages 3-5 of translation. Allowable Subject Matter Claims 11-16 are allowed. Claims 4-10, 19 and 20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Conclusion The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. U.S. Publication No. 2022/0375313 to Rolfs et al. teaches a lottery ticket machine. U.S. Publication No. 2020/0211318 to Angelopoulos et al. teaches a lottery terminal. Chinese Patent No. CN204054975 to Pang et al. teaches a paper roll with printer.
