This is a response to Applicant’s communication filed September 13, 2024. Application No. 18/885,092, is a Continuation of PCT/JP2023/009822, filed March 14, 2023, and claims foreign priority to Japanese application No. JAPAN 2022-039875, filed March 15, 2022. Claims 1-20 are pending.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102(a)(1)
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-4, 7, 8, 13, and 14 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Clement et al., Three Dimensional Pharmacophore Modeling of Human CYP17 Inhibitors Potential Agents for Prostate Cancer Therapy, 46 J. Med. Chem. 2345-2351 (2003) (cited on January 14, 2025, IDS). Clement discloses the cytochrome inhibitor BTB13785 useful for treating cancer. BTB13785 is depicted as follows:

(Clement et al., p. 2349, Figure 4.) This compound reads a compound of Formula (1), wherein Formula (1), R102 is a hydrogen atom; and R201 is a cyclic hydrocarbon group (bicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-en-6-yl).
Conclusion
Claims 1-4, 7, 8, 13, and 14 are rejected.
Claims 5, 6, 9-12, and 15-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
