The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-3 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Blackwell (GB 2538057 B).
Blackwell discloses a rotary multifunctional cable take-up frame, as generally shown in figure 1 and comprised of a central column 4 wherein support plates 14, 16 are fixedly connected at both end portions of the central column, as shown in figure 2. A cable take-up groove 4, shown in figure 6, between the right and left plates with a wider section of the column formed on the left side and the cable groove is set between the wider section and the plates. The wider section forms a second groove once the cord is taken up on the first groove. A fixed handle 10 is fixedly installed outside the two cable take-up grooves and used to lift the cable take-up frame when the cable take-up frame moves, wherein the fixed handle is correspondingly provided with a rotary handle 6 rotationally installed on the support plates, and the rotary handle is used to lift the rotary multifunctional cable take-up frame when a cable is reeled in and out, and the fixed handle and the rotary handle are distributed on both sides of the center column.
The rotary multifunctional cable take-up frame is further comprised of hooks, which are fixedly arranged in the cable take-up grooves and are used to hang head portions of the cable to facilitate cable reeling. The holes on the wider section on the take up column are interpreted as hooks to anchor the cord to be reeled in on the column.
