The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1 – 20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Guo (US 11700540).
As per claim 1, a method for analyzing transmission information, applicable to a network data analytics function (NWDAF), the method comprising:
receiving an analytics request from a first network element, wherein the analytics request is used for requesting to analyze user equipment (UE) transmission information of a terminal device (The NWDAF determines to need to analyze and acquire a service traffic model of certain UE according to a static configuration or a request of a network function node, for example, the network function node (first network element) may be the PCF or any one network function node in a network, See Col. 15, Lines 26 - 30); and
transmitting an analytics result to the first network element, wherein the analytics result comprises the UE transmission information (The NWDAF may transmit an event for monitoring the traffic information of the UE to the UDM or the PCF, the UDM or the PCF further transmits the monitoring event to the SMF serving for the UE, and the SMF further transmits the monitoring event to the UPF, so that the traffic information of the UE is monitored, See Col. 15, Lines 34 - 44).
As per claim 2, the method according to claim 1, wherein the analytics request is used for requesting to analyze at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation) a UE transmission completion time, a UE geographical distribution, a UE transmission time window, or a UE list (The NWDAF can determine the monitoring event corresponding to the type of data analytics, i.e., the UE-related data to be monitored or collected, the monitoring event can be an event subscribed by the NWDAF to a network function providing the data, which indicates the data corresponding to the type of data analytics to be collected, for example, could be location information or data traffic information, See Col. 10, Lines 29 - 38).
As per claim 3, the method according to claim 1, wherein the analytics request comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): an analytics identity; a requested terminal device; a number of requested terminal devices; a mean value of time for requested terminal devices to complete a single transmission; a median of time for completing a single transmission among requested terminal devices; an upper limit of time for completing a single transmission; an upper limit of time for completing a transmission of a first data volume; a network slice; a data network name (DNN); an area of interest (AoI); an analytics target time window; or a time at which the NWDAF is requested to transmit an analytics result (The NWDAF is a network analytics function of operator management and provides slice-related network data analytics to the PCF, See Col. 9, Lines 44 - 57).
As per claim 4, the method according to claim 1, wherein the analytics result comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): a candidate terminal device; a recommended terminal device; a suggested terminal device; time for a terminal device to complete a single transmission; time for a terminal device to complete a transmission of a first data volume; a transmission time window of a terminal device; a start moment of a transmission by a terminal device; an end moment of a transmission by a terminal device; a mean value of time for terminal devices to complete a single transmission within a second time period; a mean value of time for terminal devices to complete a transmission of a first data volume within a second time period; whether a terminal device is currently in an area of interest (AoI); whether a terminal device is in an AoI within a third time period; an area in which a terminal device is currently located; or an area in which a terminal device is located within a third time period (The NWDAF receives the source data, corresponding to the type of data analytics and reported by the provider network function, of the UE to be monitored, and analyzes and processes the received source data to generate a result of data analytics, conforming to the type of data analytics, for the UE, See Col. 12, Lines 44 - 49).
As per claim 5, the method according to claim 1, wherein the analytics result is determined based on an input parameter; wherein the input parameter comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): a data volume of a transmission service; a data volume of a single transmission; an area in which a terminal device is located; transmission information of a terminal device; a transmission bit rate of a terminal device; a transmission rate of a terminal device; a packet delay of a terminal device; a transmission bit rate of a terminal device related to a transmission service; a transmission rate of a terminal device related to a transmission service; a packet delay of a terminal device related to a transmission service; transmission information of a terminal device related to a type of a transmission service; a transmission bit rate of a terminal device related to a type of a transmission service; a transmission rate of a terminal device related to a type of a transmission service; or a packet delay of a terminal device related to a type of a transmission service (The provider network function may report the source data of the UE to the NWDAF when a monitoring condition is met, for example, the provider network function monitors the change of the position or the traffic rate of the UE, See Col. 11, Lines 53 - 61).
As per claim 6, the method according to claim 5, further comprising: receiving the input parameter from a second network element; wherein the second network element comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): an operation administration and maintenance function (OAM), an access and mobility management function (AMF), an application function (AF), or a user plane function (UPF) (The provider network function in the embodiment of this application may be any one or more of the AMF, the SMF, a next generation-radio access network (NG-RAN) and the UPF. For example, if the source data is the location information of the UE, the provider network function may be the AMF taking charge of the mobility management, or if the source data is the traffic information of the UE, the provider network function may be the SMF for the session management and the UPF connected with the SMF, See Col. 10, Lines 39 - 52).
As per claim 7, a communication device, comprising:
a processor;
a transceiver, communicably connected to the processor; and a memory, configured to store one or more executable instructions;
wherein the processor, when loading and executing the one or more executable instructions, is caused to perform:
receiving an analytics request from a first network element, wherein the analytics request is used for requesting to analyze user equipment (UE) transmission information of a terminal device (The NWDAF determines to need to analyze and acquire a service traffic model of certain UE according to a static configuration or a request of a network function node, for example, the network function node (first network element) may be the PCF or any one network function node in a network, See Col. 15, Lines 26 - 30); and
transmitting an analytics result to the first network element, wherein the analytics result comprises the UE transmission information (The NWDAF may transmit an event for monitoring the traffic information of the UE to the UDM or the PCF, the UDM or the PCF further transmits the monitoring event to the SMF serving for the UE, and the SMF further transmits the monitoring event to the UPF, so that the traffic information of the UE is monitored, See Col. 15, Lines 34 - 44).

As per claim 12, the communication device according to claim 11, wherein the processor, when loading and executing the one or more executable instructions, is caused to further perform: receiving the input parameter from a second network element; wherein the second network element comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): an operation administration and maintenance function (OAM), an access and mobility management function (AMF), an application function (AF), or a user plane function (UPF) (The provider network function in the embodiment of this application may be any one or more of the AMF, the SMF, a next generation-radio access network (NG-RAN) and the UPF. For example, if the source data is the location information of the UE, the provider network function may be the AMF taking charge of the mobility management, or if the source data is the traffic information of the UE, the provider network function may be the SMF for the session management and the UPF connected with the SMF, See Col. 10, Lines 39 - 52).
As per claim 13, the communication device according to claim 7, wherein the processor, when loading and executing the one or more executable instructions, is caused to perform at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation):
transmitting the analytics result to the first network element at an analytics completion moment; or in a case that the analytics result is updated, transmitting an updated analytics result to the first network element (The NWDAF may transmit an event for monitoring the traffic information of the UE to the UDM or the PCF, the UDM or the PCF further transmits the monitoring event to the SMF serving for the UE, and the SMF further transmits the monitoring event to the UPF, so that the traffic information of the UE is monitored, See Col. 15, Lines 34 - 44).
As per claim 14, a communication device, comprising:
a processor;
a transceiver, communicably connected to the processor; and
a memory, configured to store one or more executable instructions;
wherein the processor, when loading and executing the one or more executable instructions, is caused to perform:
transmitting an analytics request to a network data analytics function (NWDAF), wherein the analytics request is used for requesting to analyze user equipment (UE) transmission information of a terminal device (The NWDAF determines to need to analyze and acquire a service traffic model of certain UE according to a static configuration or a request of a network function node, for example, the network function node (first network element) may be the PCF or any one network function node in a network, See Col. 15, Lines 26 - 30); and
receiving an analytics result from the NWDAF, wherein the analytics result comprises the UE transmission information (The NWDAF may transmit an event for monitoring the traffic information of the UE to the UDM or the PCF, the UDM or the PCF further transmits the monitoring event to the SMF serving for the UE, and the SMF further transmits the monitoring event to the UPF, so that the traffic information of the UE is monitored, See Col. 15, Lines 34 - 44).

As per claim 20, the communication device according to claim 14, wherein the communication device comprises at least one of (Alternative language “at least one of”, requires only one citation): a network exposure function (NEF) or a policy control function (PCF) (the NWDAF may transmit the monitoring event to the UDM or the PCF, and furthermore, the UDM or the PCF transmits the monitoring event to the provider network function, See Col. 10, Lines 64 - 67).
