2. Claims 1, 6, 11, 15, and 20 are objected to because of the following informalities:

Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
3. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.

Claims 1-20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
5. Regarding claims 1-10, Claim 1 recites the limitation "the SMS message" in line 5 of claim 1. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claims.
6. Claim 1 recites the limitation "the STB message" in line 8 of claim 1. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claims.
7. Claims 3 and 4 recite the limitation "wherein determining from the retrieved user profile information if set top box (STB) display of SMS messages is enabled for a STB associated with the target phone number includes… " in lines 2-4 of claims 3 and 4. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claims.
7. Claim 8 recites the limitation "the STB message" in line 3. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
8. Regarding claims 11-19, Claim 11 recites the limitation "the SMS message" in lines 9-10 of claim 11. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claims.
9. Claim 11 recites the limitation "the STB message" in line 14. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claims.
10. Claim 13 recites the limitation "the retrieved user profile" in line 3. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
11. Claim 14 recites the limitation "the SMS message content" in line 3. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
12. Claim 17 recites the limitation "the STB message" in line 5. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
13. Claim 20 recites the limitation "the SMS message" in line 7. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.

Allowable Subject Matter
15. Claims 1-20 are allowable over prior art references (with regards to above 112 rejections and objections being overcome).
Conclusion
16. The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Mistry (U. S. Patent No. 9, 407, 451) discloses displaying SMS messages using an STB.
