Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-6 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being clearly anticipated by Guilty Gear Strive as evidenced by GrandmastaJ Dif ("What Is Roman Cancel And How To Use It | Guilty Gear -Strive- Tutorial"; hereinafter GrandmastaJ).
Regarding claims 1, 5, and 6, GrandmastaJ discloses an information processing apparatus (Guilty Gear Strive is played on PC, PS4/5, Xbox, and Nintendo switch, and these devices also have a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium), comprising: a reception part configured to receive, from a user, a manipulation input associated with a character the user manipulates in a virtual space (user manipulating character in the virtual space; 7:35-7:40); a display control part configured to perform a display in which the character takes an action based on the manipulation input (character taking action in response to manipulation input from user; 7:35-7:40); and a determination part configured to determine whether or not the manipulation input received by the reception part is a cancellation input capable of cancelling the action the character is taking (the roman cancel is a mechanic used for cancelling actions as shown in 7:36-7:40 where you can see the user performing an action and then using the roman cancel cancel in order to transition to other moves and perform a combo), and wherein, when the manipulation input is determined to be a cancellation input by the determination part (as stated before, the roman cancel is a mechanic inside the game recognized as a cancellation input), the display control part displays an afterimage of the character at a time of receiving the cancellation input (there is an after image when performing the roman cancel cancel and it shows an afterimage; 7:35-7:40).

Regarding claim 2, GrandmastaJ discloses when the manipulation input is determined to be the cancellation input by the determination part, a production part configured to produce the afterimage based on a display image in the action the character is taking (the afterimage is based on the image of the action the character is taking as you can see it from 7:35-7:37, the afterimage is based on the action the character is taking), wherein the display control part displays the afterimage produced by the production part as the afterimage of the character (afterimage being displayed; 7:35-7:37).
Regarding claim 3, GrandmastaJ discloses wherein the production part produces the afterimage of the character, which has a display aspect different from a normal display aspect (the aspect of the after image is different from the normal display because the afterimage is shown as dimmed down and lighter version of the character as shown in 7:35-7:37).
Regarding claim 4, GrandmastaJ discloses wherein the cancellation input is a subsequent manipulation input (roman cancel cancel comes after a manipulation input that leads to another input to manipulate the character as shown in 7:35-7:40) indicating a next action the character takes subsequently (after the roman cancel cancel, it will indicate a next action as shown in 7:35-7:40), and wherein the display control part is configured to perform a control in which both the afterimage and the next action the character takes subsequently are displayed (both the afterimage and the next action as subsequently displayed one after the other as shown in 7:35-7:40).
