DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Objections
Claims 12 and 20 are objected to because of the following informalities:
With respect to claim 12, the recitation of “second rotating screw” is introduced in claim 7, therefore claim 12 is assumed to depend upon claim 7.
With respect to claim 20, the “second sleeve” was introduced in claim 19, and therefore, claim 20 has been assumed to depend upon claim 19.
Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1, 2, 6, and 14-18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102a1 as being anticipated by Swanson (US 11,608,037 B1).
With respect to claims 1, 16, and 17, Swanson discloses a linear jack for a vehicle and method of operating including an outer tube 5, first sleeve 14, coarse nut 11 coupled to a first screw 15, wherein said coarse nut meshes with said sleeve and rotation of said screw causes the sleeve to translate up and down relative to said screw, and contact a ground surface for support, as shown in figures 2, 3, and 6.

With respect to claim 6, the said outer tube 8, first sleeve 14, and first screw 12 are all coaxial aligned, as shown in figure 3.
With respect to claims 14 and 15, a bearing 10 and cap 2 are located on the upper end of the outer tube, as shown in figure 3.
With respect to claim 18, said coarse nut 11 rotates with a second screw 14, which is also first sleeve, as shown in figure 3.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 3-5, 7-13, and 19-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
