Claim(s) 1-4, 6-17, 19, and 20 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by US Patent Publication 2023/272917 to Miranda.
Miranda teaches
1. A door for a home appliance, the door comprising: a door body (120) disposed in front of a storage space (116) of a home appliance (100); a door panel (200) coupled to the door body and having a window (124, 238, 240) on a central portion (as best seen in figures 3 and 4) thereof; an electronic component unit (220, 216, 218) disposed in the door panel and operated by receiving power; and a frame guide (208 or 256 and/or 204,206 and the inherent structure between the panels shown) coupled to the door body and connected to the electronic component unit.
2. wherein a door handle (118) is disposed at a position opposite to the frame guide with the door body located between the door handle and the frame guide, and the frame guide and the door handle are fastened to each other by a fastener (inherently the handle must be held to the door some element and that element is considered to be the fastener attaching to the structure of the door which is considered to be part of the frame guide) passing through the door body.
3. wherein the frame guide is disposed between an edge (as best seen in figures 1 and 3-5) of the door body and the window.
4. wherein the door body comprises: a front frame (figures 3-5); and a rear frame (figures 3-5) coupled to the front frame with the door panel located between the front frame and the rear frame, wherein the frame guide is disposed between the front frame and the rear frame.
6. wherein the door panel comprises: the window formed at a central portion of the door panel; and a panel edge unit (204,206) formed around the window, wherein the electronic component unit and the frame guide are connected to each other at positions where the electronic component unit and the frame guide face the panel edge unit.
7. wherein the electronic component unit and the frame guide are coupled to each other in a direction (as best seen in figures 3-9) where the door body and the door panel are stacked on each other.
8. wherein the electronic component unit comprises a connection arm () protruding toward an edge of the door body, and the connection arm is connected to the frame guide.
9. wherein the connection arm comprises: a bridge part (256) connected to a casing (figure 9) of the electronic component unit; and a coupling part (264,266 or 208 with the structure of the door being the frame guide) connected to the bridge part and coupled to the frame guide.
10. wherein based on a direction where the connection arm is coupled to the frame guide, the coupling part has a thickness (figure 7) thinner than a bridge part (figure 6).
11. wherein the coupling part is coupled to a support body (structure/portion with the notch 222) of the frame guide, and the coupling part is disposed closer to a surface of the front panel than the support body.
12. wherein the coupling part is coupled to a support body (structure/portion with the notch 222) of the frame guide, the support body is disposed closer to a surface of the front panel than the coupling part, and the support body comprises a support protrusion (screw as seen in figure 8) protruding toward a surface of the front panel and passing through a connection hole (252) of the coupling part.
13. wherein an installation region (figure 8) is formed in a surface of the door body that is outside an edge of the door panel, and a part (242,226) of the frame guide is fixed to the installation region.
14. wherein a part (242,226) of the frame guide is fixed to the door body, and a remaining part (248) of the frame guide is disposed at a position facing a surface (as best seen in figures 3 and 9) of the door panel.
15. wherein the frame guide comprises: a fixed body (figure 9) fixed to the door body; and a support body (256) connected to the fixed body and connected to the electronic component unit.
16. wherein the fixed body extends in a first direction along an edge (as best seen in figures 3-5) of the door body, the support body extends in a second direction (figure 9) from the fixed body toward the window of the door panel, and the first direction and the second direction are different from each other.
17. wherein the fixed body is disposed at a position (as best seen in figures 3 and 9) farther from the window than the electronic component unit.
19. A door for a home appliance, the door comprising: a door body (120) disposed in front of a storage space of a home appliance (100); a door panel (200) coupled to the door body and having a window (124,238,240) on a central portion (as best seen in figures 3-5) thereof; an electronic component unit (220,216,218) disposed in the door panel and operated by receiving power; and a door handle (118) disposed at a position (as best seen in figure 4) opposite to the electronic component unit with the door body located between the door handle and the electronic component unit, and connected to the electronic component unit.
20. A home appliance (oven) comprising the door of claim 1.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 5 and 18 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
