The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Kusayama (U.S. 6,195,852).
As for Claim 1, Kusayama discloses a bottom stop assembly, comprising:
a bottom stop fixing part comprising a box fixing part (18) and a box
connecting part (3) wherein the box fixing part is provided with a pin accommodating
groove (23) a first end of the box connecting part is connected to the box fixing
part (see Fig. 2 disclosing connected to 18 at one end), and the second end of the box connecting part is configured to be connected to a first tape (see Fig. 1 disclosing 3 connected to tape 2 at the other end); and
a movable pin (4, 5, and 6), wherein a first end of the movable pin-is configured to
be inserted into and mated with the pin accommodating groove (see Fig. 2 disclosing 4 inserted into a groove of 18 at one end), a second end of the movable pin is configured to be connected to a second tape (see Fig. 1 disclosing 4 connected to tape 2 at the other end), and a side of the box
connecting part facing the movable pin is provided with a pin guide part (side face of 3 facing 4),
which has a sloped structure inclined relative to a direction from a bottom of the pin
accommodating groove (see Fig. 2 disclosing the sloped face of 3) towards an opening of the pin accommodating groove (see Figs. 1-2).
Re: 2. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 1, wherein
the movable pin comprises:
an insertion pin (body of 4) configured to be inserted into and mated with the pin
accommodating groove (groove 23, see Fig. 2); and
a pin fixing member (6) connected to the insertion pin (210), wherein a pin gap (gap defined by 5) for being slidably engaged with a slider (see Fig. 4) is provided between the insertion pin and the
pin fixing member (see Fig. 1), and the pin fixing member (6) is configured to be connected to the
second tape (310)
Re: 3. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 2, wherein the pin fixing member is provided with a pin limiting part (sidewall of 6) configured to be stopped by an outer wall of the pin accommodating groove (see Fig. 4).
Re: 4. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 2, wherein a side wall of the pin accommodating groove is provided with a sliding guide part (21) configured to be inserted into the pin gap (see Fig. disclosing sidewall of 21 into the gap defined by 5).
Re: 5. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 1, wherein the box fixing part and the box connecting part are formed integrally or separately (see Figs. 1-2).
Re: 6. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 5, wherein two sides of the box connecting part are respectively provided with engagement protrusions (9); and the box fixing part is provided with a mounting groove (21) in communication with the pin accommodating groove (23), and side walls of the mounting groove (20) are provided with insertion grooves for insertion of the engagement protrusions.
Re: 7. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 5, wherein an end of the box fixing part facing a slider is provided with an extension part (top plate of the body of the box 18), and a sliding gap (gap of 18) for being slidably engaged with the slider is formed between another side of the box connecting part away from the movable pin and the extension part.
Re: 8. (Currently amended) The bottom stop assembly according to claim 5, wherein both of the bottom stop fixing part and the movable pin are injection molded (see Abstract).
Re: 9. (Currently amended) A zipper (zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the bottom stop assembly according
to claim 1.
Re: 10. (Original) A zipper product (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the zipper according to claim 9.
Re: 11. (New) A zipper (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the bottom stop assembly according to claim 2
Re: 12. (New) A zipper (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the bottom stop assembly according to claim 3
Re: 13. (New) A zipper (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the bottom stop assembly according to claim 4
Re: 14. (New) A zipper (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1), comprising the bottom stop assembly according to claim 5.
Re: 15. (New) A zipper product (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1). comprising the zipper according to claim 11
Re: 16. (New) A zipper product (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1) comprising the zipper according to claim 12
Re: 17 (New) A zipper product (See Abstract and Zipper of Fig. 1) comprising the zipper according to claim 13
Re: 18. (New) A zipper product, comprising the zipper according to claim 14.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Tsaur (U.S. 2004/0205942) discloses an analogous stop and zipper pertinent to Applicant’s invention.
