DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 101
35 U.S.C. 101 reads as follows:
Whoever invents or discovers any new and useful process, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, or any new and useful improvement thereof, may obtain a patent therefor, subject to the conditions and requirements of this title.
Claim 8-10 rejected under 35 U.S.C. 101 because the claimed invention is directed to non-statutory subject matter. The claim(s) does/do not fall within at least one of the four categories of patent eligible subject matter because the broadest reasonable interpretation of “computer-readable storage medium” in light of specification paragraph 108 encompasses non-statutory subject matter such as transitory signals.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-7 are allowed. Claims 8-10 would be allowable if amended to overcome the 101 rejection. Chheda (12373804) discloses a system facilitating cross-border payments by routing qualifying cross-border payment instructions from traditional payment rails to a permissioned distributed ledger when both banks are network participants. Rusu (US 20230123072 A1) discloses an accounting system that facilitates reconciliation by converting transaction records and applying machine learning. Johnston (US 20210182810 A1) discloses a system for facilitating cross border payments. De Almeida Santos Dinis Lucas (WO 2025078913 A1) discloses a cross border settlement system. Zhao (CN 116091220 A) discloses a system performing reconciliation on cross border payments. Cai (CN 112613881 A) discloses a cross border payment system using blockchain that facilitates reconciliation. Xu (CN 110544164 A) discloses a full link checking method and system. None of the art of record has more than general relevance to the claims (such as relating to cross-border payments or facilitation transaction reconciliation).
