The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Specification
The title of the invention is not descriptive. A new title is required that is clearly indicative of the invention to which the claims are directed.
EXAMINER'S AMENDMENT
An examiner’s amendment to the record appears below. Should the changes and/or additions be unacceptable to applicant, an amendment may be filed as provided by 37 CFR 1.312. To ensure consideration of such an amendment, it MUST be submitted no later than the payment of the issue fee.
The application has been amended as follows:
1.(Currently Amended) An electronic device, comprising: a housing; a first turntable rotatably disposed on the housing; a first fixing member fixed to the housing; a plurality of first engaging structures disposed on one of the first turntable and the first fixing member; a second engaging structure disposed on another one of the first turntable and the first fixing member and configured to engage with any one of the plurality of first engaging structures; a second turntable rotatably disposed on the first turntable; a second fixing member fixed to the housing; a plurality of third engaging structures disposed on one of the second turntable and the second fixing member; and a fourth engaging structure disposed on another one of the second turntable and the second fixing member and configured to engage with any one of the plurality of third engaging structures.
15. (Currently Amended) The electronic device of claim 14, further comprising: a first fixing member fixed to the housing; a plurality of first engaging structures disposed on a lateral side of one of the first turntable and the first fixing member; a second engaging structure disposed on another one of the first turntable and the first fixing member and configured to engage with any one of the plurality of first engaging structures; a second fixing member fixed to the housing; a plurality of third engaging structures disposed on one of the second turntable and the second fixing member in an annular shape; and a fourth engaging structure disposed on another one of the second turntable and the second fixing member and configured to engage with any one of the plurality of third engaging structure
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 14 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Watanabe (US20240019767).
Regarding claim 14, Watanabe discloses an electronic device (100), comprising:
a housing (112);
a first turntable (111) rotatably disposed on the housing (112) and configured to rotate relative to the housing (112) based on an axis (108); and
a second turntable (110) rotatably disposed on a side of the first turntable (111) away from the housing (112) and configured to rotate relative to the first turntable (111) based on the axis (108).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claim 15 is objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
The following is an examiner’s statement of reasons for allowance:
Regarding claim 15, the prior art of record, taken alone or in combination, fails to teach or suggest the interconnection and interrelationship of a second engaging structure disposed on another one of the first turntable and the first fixing member, a second fixing member and a plurality of third engaging structures disposed on one of the second turntable and the second fixing member, as claimed with the remaining limitations of independent claim 14.
Any comments considered necessary by applicant must be submitted no later than the payment of the issue fee and, to avoid processing delays, should preferably accompany the issue fee. Such submissions should be clearly labeled “Comments on Statement of Reasons for Allowance.”
Claims 1-13 are allowed.
The following is an examiner’s statement of reasons for allowance:
Regarding claim 1, the prior art of record, taken alone or in combination, fails to teach or suggest the interconnection and interrelationship of a second engaging structure disposed on another one of the first turntable and the first fixing member, a second fixing member and a plurality of third engaging structures disposed on one of the second turntable and the second fixing member, as claimed with the remaining limitations of independent claim 1.
Any comments considered necessary by applicant must be submitted no later than the payment of the issue fee and, to avoid processing delays, should preferably accompany the issue fee. Such submissions should be clearly labeled “Comments on Statement of Reasons for Allowance.”
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. US20090079595.
