Office Action

§102 §112
DETAILED ACTION This is a non-final Office action in reply to the response filed 09/09/2026. Status of Claims Claims 1-19 are pending; Claims 1-4 and 8-12 are original; claims 5-7 and 13-19 have been withdrawn; Claims 1-4 and 8-12 are rejected herein. Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Election/Restrictions Applicant's election without traverse of Species C in the reply filed 09/09/2026 is acknowledged. Applicant submits on page 2 of the remarks that claims 1-12, 14, 17, and 28 are readable on the elected Species C. Accordingly, claims 13, 15, 16, and 19 have been withdrawn by the Examiner from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b), as being drawn to a nonelected species, there being no allowable generic or linking claim. Upon review, claims 5-7, 14, 17, and 18 have also been withdrawn by the Examiner from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b), as being drawn to a nonelected species, there being no allowable generic or linking claim. Regarding claim 5, the elected Species C does not disclose the feature "wherein the first connector comprises a projection; wherein at least one side wall of the projection comprises the guide groove, and the second connector comprises a movable groove; and wherein at least one inner wall of the movable groove corresponding to the guide groove comprises the guide rail" (claim 5, lines 1-6). Therefore, claim 5 and claims dependent therefrom (i.e., claims 14-16) have been withdrawn by the Examiner from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b), as being drawn to a nonelected species, there being no allowable generic or linking claim. Regarding claim 6, the elected Species C does not disclose the feature "wherein the first connector comprises the guide rail, and the second connector comprises the guide groove" (claim 6, lines 1 and 2). Therefore, claim 6 and claims dependent therefrom (i.e., claims 7, 13, and 17-19) have been withdrawn by the Examiner from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b), as being drawn to a nonelected species, there being no allowable generic or linking claim. In summary, claims 5-7 and 13-19 have been withdrawn by the Examiner from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b), as being drawn to a nonelected species, there being no allowable generic or linking claim. The requirement is still deemed proper and is therefore made FINAL. Information Disclosure Statement The information disclosure statements (IDS) submitted 05/13/2025 and 09/09/2026 have been considered by the Examiner. Claim Objections Claims 3 and 12 are objected to because of the following informalities: Claim 3, line 2, "and the" appears to be --or the--. Claim 3, line 3, "and the" appears to be --or the--. Claim 12, line 2, "a third locking wrench" appears to be --a locking wrench--, since "a first locking wrench" and "a second locking wrench" are not recited in the claim. Claim 12, lines 2 and 3, "a third locking pillar" appears to be --a locking pillar--, since "a first locking pillar" and "a second locking pillar" are not recited in the claim. Claim 12, line 3, "a third locking block" appears to be --a locking block--, since "a first locking block" and "a second locking block" are not recited in the claim. Claim 12, line 4, "a third accommodation groove" appears to be --an accommodation groove--, since "a first accommodation groove" and "a second accommodation groove" are not recited in the claim. Claim 12, lines 5-9, the word "third" should be removed. Appropriate correction is required. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. Claims 8-11 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention. Regarding claim 8, the limitation "a second external device" in claim 8 (line 5) is indefinite. It is not clear as to whether the limitation "a second external device" in claim 8 (line 5) and the limitation "a second external device" in claim 1 (lines 6 and 7) refer to the same external device or different external devices. Appropriate correction is required. Claims 9-11 are rejected as being dependent from a rejected claim. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
