Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(2) as being anticipated by Omar [US 2015/0279156]
Claim 1. A method, comprising: defining a track on which competitors will conduct a race (the system and method of tracking objects/players in a game, see abstract, Figs. 1, 5, 8-12, para [0169-0171]);
positioning multiple object-recognition devices to recognize objects at predetermined
locations along the track, the object-recognition devices configured to recognize at least one physical feature of each of the competitors (the card scanner 22, 32, 38 to identify or recognize the objects/players by the marking such as a dot, circle/shape and crosshairs 172, 174, 185, 187 including code or ID, see Figs. 1, 3b, 8-12, para [0028, 0072, 0074, 0098-0100, 0103-0106, 0119, 0144]);
based on object-recognition data from at least one of the object-recognition devices,
determining a time at which a competitor reached a selected one of the predetermined locations during the race (each snapshot of the sportsman 140 is always taken from the same location and each represents the sportsman's interaction with a volleyball 142 at a given time during the process of serving or exact position at the time the scene 100 was captured. The six snapshots each have associated with them a correct location for the volleyball 142, see Figs. 7-9, para [0092, 0100, 0102]);
transmitting to an output device the time at which the competitor reached the selected
location during the race (the authentication server, operably coupled to the terminal by a communications network, for authenticating the game card and determining the result of the instant-win game; wherein the terminal is arranged to communicate or transmit the game card information to the authentication server via the telecommunications network and the authentication server is arranged to receive and use the game card information to: authenticate the validity of the game card by use of an authentication process on the received game card identifier; carry out a comparison of the player-selected location with a predetermined correct location of the missing object for that game card to present with an instant-win prize for the game, see Figs. 1, 2, para [0015, 0062, 0070, 0092, 0156]).
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure.
An discloses the first surveillance unit detects the moving object in a surveillance area, recognizes the position of the moving object, and generates the target position. The second surveillance unit receives the target position and tracks the moving object while being linked with the first surveillance unit. At this time, the second surveillance unit can track the moving object as it moves. The surveillance camera system may be applied to a surveillance camera system using cameras with panning, tilting, and zooming functions. When a predetermined position is designated by monitoring software or when a single camera recognizes an event at a predetermined position, the designated or recognized position is transmitted to the cameras adjacent to the position.
