DETAILED ACTION
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-6 and 13-18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by the publication of CN 111816990 A.
Regarding claim 1/13, the publication of CN 111816990 A discloses a circularly polarized antenna, comprising: an annular radiator (fig1, para39), a first breakpoint B is provided on the annular radiator, a first capacitor (capacitance as series load) or a first inductor (inductance as series load) is connected in series with the annular radiator at the first breakpoint (fig1, para43); and a first feed terminal A, one end of the first feed terminal is electrically connected to the annular radiator, and another end of the first feed terminal is electrically connected to a first feed module of a mainboard (fig1, para12,19).
The publication of CN 111816990 A also discloses a line connecting the first feed terminal and a center of the annular radiator is a first line, a line connecting the first breakpoint and the center of the annular radiator is a second line, a counterclockwise direction of the annular radiator is a first direction, and along the first direction, the first line to the second line forms a first angle α; wherein, α (0,π/2)U(π3π/2); or alternatively, α €(π/2,π)U(3π/2,2π) (fig1, a first angle α is between (0,π/2) for point B is 45 degree), wherein, or alternatively, α €(2π/3,π)(5π/3,2π) (fig1, a first angle α is between (0,π/3) for point B is 45 degree), wherein a second breakpoint C is further provided on the annular radiator, and a second capacitor (capacitance) or a second inductor is connected in series with the annular radiator at the second breakpoint (fig1, para39,43), wherein the line connecting the first feed terminal and the center of the annular radiator is the first line, a line connecting the second breakpoint and the center of the annular radiator is a third line, the counterclockwise direction of the annular radiator is the first direction, and along the first direction, the first line to the third line forms a second angle ß;
wherein, β € (0.π/2)U(π.3π/2); (fig1, a second angle ß is between (π/2, π) for point C is 135 degree), wherein, β € (0,π/3)U(π,4π/3); (fig1, a second angle ß is between (2π/3, π) for point C is 135 degree).
Claims 1 and 13 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Phillips et al US 2009/0231229 A1.
Phillips et al disclose a circularly polarized antenna (para19,25), comprising: an annular radiator (transmission line sections 114,116), a first breakpoint is provided on the annular radiator 116, a first capacitor 128 is connected in series with the annular radiator at the first breakpoint and a first feed terminal 118, one end of the first feed terminal is electrically connected to the annular radiator, and another end of the first feed terminal is electrically connected to a first feed module of a mainboard 630.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 7-12 and 19-20 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. The patents to Zhao, Mehen and Lindenmeier are cited as of interested and illustrated a similar structure to a circularly polarized antenna.
