(para. 105, 136, 173) 18. (New) An apparatus for wireless communication at a wireless device, comprising: one or more memories; and one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, wherein the one or more processors (Fig. 18) are configured to cause the wireless device to: receive, from a network entity, peer history information associated with wireless devices in an area associated with the wireless device and the network entity (para. 98, 116, 131, 168); and transmit, to the network entity, an indication of the peer history information associated with the wireless devices in the area associated with the wireless device and the network entity. (para. 95, 98-101) 19. (New) The apparatus of claim 18, further comprising: receive, from an additional wireless device, additional peer history information associated with one or more of the wireless devices in the area associated with the wireless device and the network entity; and maintain, based on at least the peer history information and the additional peer history information, local peer history information regarding the wireless devices in an area associated with the wireless device and the network entity, wherein the indication of the peer history information is based on the local peer history information. (para. 130, 164, 175) 21. (New) The apparatus of claim 18, wherein the peer history information comprises a status of an additional wireless device in the area associated with the network entity, and wherein the status of the additional wireless device is one of a non-rogue actor status, a misinforming rogue actor status, or a disinforming rogue actor status. (para. 139) Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 103 The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 103 which forms the basis for all obviousness rejections set forth in this Office action: A patent for a claimed invention may not be obtained, notwithstanding that the claimed invention is not identically disclosed as set forth in section 102, if the differences between the claimed invention and the prior art are such that the claimed invention as a whole would have been obvious before the effective filing date of the claimed invention to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the claimed invention pertains. Patentability shall not be negated by the manner in which the invention was made. Claim 12 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 103 as being unpatentable over Hoffmann as applied to claim 10 above, and further in view of Lu et al. (US Pub. 20200258320 A1). Regarding claim 12, Hoffman does not specifically teach wherein the status of the additional wireless device is a disinforming rogue actor status, and wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the wireless device to: transmit, to the additional wireless device, an additional indication of a first set of modifiable parameters pertaining to the additional wireless device, wherein the first set of modifiable parameters comprises one or more of: an erroneous geolocation; an ON-OFF status of one or more measurement devices; a repair status of the one or more measurement devices; or an operational configuration of the one or more measurement devices. However, in the related art of wireless V2X communication between vehicles, Lu teaches wherein the status of the additional wireless device is a disinforming rogue actor status, and wherein the one or more processors are further configured to cause the wireless device to: transmit, to the additional wireless device, an additional indication of a first set of modifiable parameters pertaining to the additional wireless device, wherein the first set of modifiable parameters comprises one or more of: an erroneous geolocation; an ON-OFF status of one or more measurement devices; a repair status of the one or more measurement devices; or an operational configuration of the one or more measurement devices (see para.48, 83, 8) Therefore, before the effective filing date of the claimed invention, one of ordinary skill in the art would have found it obvious to use this teaching of Lu with the disclosure of Hoffman as a known way to of identifying a misbehaving endpoint transmitting inaccurate or malicious sensor data via. V2X communication. Conclusion Any inquiry concerning this communication or earlier communications from the examiner should be directed to WILLIAM A CORUM JR whose telephone number is (303)297-4234.
