DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Priority Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Double Patenting The nonstatutory double patenting rejection is based on a judicially created doctrine grounded in public policy (a policy reflected in the statute) so as to prevent the unjustified or improper timewise extension of the “right to exclude” granted by a patent and to prevent possible harassment by multiple assignees. A nonstatutory double patenting rejection is appropriate where the conflicting claims are not identical, but at least one examined application claim is not patentably distinct from the reference claim(s) because the examined application claim is either anticipated by, or would have been obvious over, the reference claim(s). See, e.g., In re Berg, 140 F.3d 1428, 46 USPQ2d 1226 (Fed. Cir. 1998); In re Goodman, 11 F.3d 1046, 29 USPQ2d 2010 (Fed. Cir. 1993); In re Longi, 759 F.2d 887, 225 USPQ 645 (Fed. A timely filed terminal disclaimer in compliance with 37 CFR 1.321(c) or 1.321(d) may be used to overcome an actual or provisional rejection based on nonstatutory double patenting provided the reference application or patent either is shown to be commonly owned with the examined application, or claims an invention made as a result of activities undertaken within the scope of a joint research agreement. See MPEP § 717.02 for applications subject to examination under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA as explained in MPEP § 2159. For example, in one embodiment audio-video content from a few seconds prior to the time index associated with a selected highlight to a few seconds after that time index is played.); Hedge doesn’t expressly disclose presenting a wide-view image; In the same field of endeavor, AIKAWA discloses image communication system and method for sharing images between plurality of devices (see par 0005); AIKAWA discloses the shared image may be a wide-view image (par 0068; discloses FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an overview of an operation of the image communication system 10, in which communication is taking place between four sites: a site A, a site B, a site C, and a site D. At the site A, a photographer 8 captures an omnidirectional image in real time with an image capturing device 5a, and transmits the omnidirectional image to the sites B to D via a communication network 100. The transmission of the omnidirectional image or another type of image is also possible from the sites B to D. The omnidirectional image may be transmitted with or without audio data. Further, the omnidirectional image may be a still image, or may be repeatedly transmitted to produce a video image); Therefore, it would have been obvious to one having ordinary skill in the art to modify the invention disclosed by Hedge to incorporate the teachings of AIKAWA to share wide-view images between plurality of devices in order to increase the type of contents that can be shared during a meeting or conference, hence improving remote collaboration between different users that may be located at different locations. With respect to claim 2, Hedge as modified by AIKAWA discloses wherein the circuitry is further configured to: control the display to display the display area in chronological order of speeches, based on the recording duration (Hedge; par 0054; discloses in the case of non-overlapping highlights, that is, highlights which do not share any portion of associated recorded audio-video content, playback of successive highlights in response to user selection of one of the toggles 830 proceeds from one to the next, with the next highlight in sequence (either forward or backward in time) being played from its beginning.). Claim(s) 3, 9-10, 13 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 103 as being unpatentable over Hedge et al (US Pub 2021/0058585) and AIKAWA et al (US Pub 2020/0296284) and NAKASHIMA (US Pub 2018/0268819). With respect to claim 3, Hedge as modified by AIKAWA don’t expressly disclose wherein the circuitry is further configured to control the display to: display a text in the display area, the text corresponding to the speech made using the display terminal in the recording duration during recording of the wide-view image; In the same field of endeavor, NAKASHIMA discloses wherein the circuitry is further configured to control the display to: display a text in the display area, the text corresponding to the speech made using the display terminal in the recording duration during recording of the wide-view image (fig. 8; display area 84; par 0086; discloses the screen 81 includes a display area 84, in which text data converted from the audio data acquired from each of the audio collecting unit 210-1 of the communication terminal 200-1 and the audio collecting unit 210-2 of the communication terminal 200-2 is displayed.); Therefore it would have been obvious to one having ordinary skill in the art to modify the invention disclosed by Hedge as modified by AIKAWA to incorporate the teachings of NAKASHIMA to display text data converted from the audio data such that attendee can also see the texts of speech spoken during the meeting which would further improve collaboration. With respect to claim 9, Hedge discloses a communication system, (fig. 3’; discloses video conferencing system 300) comprising: a display terminal (fig. 3; laptop 306); and an information management system that manages information to be transmitted to the display terminal, (par 0025; discloses video conferencing system 100, in accordance with some embodiments of the invention.
