Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status. The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim(s) 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Matsuoka (U.S. 2024/0387888). In regards to claim 1. Matsuoka discloses an electric tool power control apparatus (fig. 3), applied to a motor (204), a motor driver (at least elements 252, 251, 250), and a battery pack (1), the motor being electrically connected to the motor driver (fig. 3), the electric tool power control apparatus comprising: a microcontroller (at least 250), electrically connected to the battery pack (fig. 3); a power converter (at least element 255), electrically connected to the microcontroller (fig. 3); a voltage detector (257), electrically connected to the power converter; a trigger switch (206), electrically connected to the microcontroller, the motor driver, and the battery pack; and a self-holding circuit (259), electrically connected to the microcontroller, the trigger switch, the voltage detector, the power converter, and the battery pack, wherein when the trigger switch is turned on (paragraph 67), the voltage detector is configured to detect a battery voltage (see paragraph 71) provided by the battery pack, and the voltage detector is configured to perform a delay time (see at least paragraph 65, 68), and the power converter is configured to receive the battery voltage and convert the battery voltage into a driving voltage (see at least paragraph 71) and transmit the driving voltage to the microcontroller to drive and wake up the microcontroller (see at least paragraph 32, 67), and after the microcontroller is awakened, the microcontroller is configured to utilize the self-holding circuit to enter a self-holding state, and the voltage detector is configured to detect a ground through the self-holding circuit within the delay time so that the voltage detector is configured to stop detecting the battery voltage (see at least paragraph 67 and 68). Allowable Subject Matter Claims 2-10 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
