DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Priority
Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55.
Information Disclosure Statement
The information disclosure statements (IDS) submitted on April 10, 2026 and July 9, 2026 have been considered by the examiner.
Specification
The title of the invention is not descriptive. A new title is required that is clearly indicative of the invention to which the claims are directed.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1, 9-11, 19 and 20 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Holz (WO 2014/113507—hereinafter “Holz”).
Claims 1, 11 and 20 are drawn to an interaction control method, an electronic device and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, respectively. Claims 1, 11 and 20 recite the same invention in different statutory formats and thus are considered together below.
As to Claims 11, 1 and 20, Holz teaches an electronic device (Fig. 1B at 100B), comprising:
at least one processor (Fig. 1B at 132); and
at least one memory (Fig. 1B at 134), configured to store an executable instruction of the at least one processor (Pg. 31, ¶ 108, Pg. 32, ¶’s 110 and 113, Pg. 33, ¶ 119, Pg. 34, ¶ 123, Pg. 35, ¶’s 125 and 129),
wherein the at least one processor is configured to execute an interaction control method (Pg. 31, ¶ 108, Pg. 32, ¶’s 110 and 113, Pg. 33, ¶ 119, Pg. 34, ¶ 123, Pg. 35, ¶’s 125 and 129), and the method comprises:
acquiring first finger motion information of a user, the first finger motion information comprising at least one selected from a group consisting of a motion speed of a finger and a displacement of the finger (Fig. 3C at 354, 356, 358 and 362);
determining first state change information of a first object according to the first finger motion information (Fig. 3C at 364 and Fig. 4A and Pg. 18, ¶’s 64-65); and
adjusting a state of the first object according to the first state change information (Fig. 3C at 364 and Fig. 4A and Pgs. 22-23, ¶ 76-79 and Pg. 18, ¶’s 64-65),
wherein different finger motion information corresponds to different state change information (Fig. 3C at 364 and Fig. 4A and Pg. 18, ¶’s 64-65).
As to Claims 9 and 19, Holz teaches that the first state change information comprises at least one of followings: change information of a position wherein the first object is located, color change information, shape change information, or sound change information (See Fig. 4A and Pg. 18, ¶’s 64-65).
As to Claim10, Holz teaches that before determining the first state change information of the first object according to the first finger motion information, the method further comprises: acquiring a first motion state of a hand of the user, the first motion state representing that the hand of the user stops moving or continues moving, wherein determining the first state change information of the first object according to the first finger motion information comprises: determining a finger motion variation of the first finger motion information relative to finger motion information at a previous moment in response to the first motion state representing that the hand of the user continues moving, and determining a state variation corresponding to the finger motion variation as the first state change information; or, determining the finger motion variation of the first finger motion information relative to the finger motion information at the previous moment in response to the first motion state representing that the hand of the user stops moving, determining state change speed decreasing information of the first object, and determining the first state change information according to the state change speed decreasing information and the state variation corresponding to the finger motion variation (See Figs. 8A-8C and Pgs. 28-30, ¶’s 97-102).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2-8 and 12-18 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
