Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION A request for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.114, including the fee set forth in 37 CFR 1.17(e), was filed in this application after allowance. Since this application is eligible for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.114, and the fee set forth in 37 CFR 1.17(e) has been timely paid, prosecution in this application has been reopened pursuant to 37 CFR 1.114. Applicant’s submission filed on May 11, 2026 has been entered. The indicated allowability of claim 31 is withdrawn in view of newly discovered references. Rejections based on these newly cited references follow. Claim Objections Claim 18 is objected to because of the following informalities: On page 6, line 2, please replace “Ru is H” with “R11 is H”. Claim 18 is objected to because of the following informalities: On page 6, line 6, please replace “Ru is C1-C3” with “R11 is C1-C3”. Claim 20 is objected to because of the following informalities: In line 3, please insert “of formula” after “monomer”. Claim 20 is objected to because of the following informalities: In line 4, please insert “of formula” after “monomer”. Claim 31 is objected to because of the following informalities: On page 8, line 22, please replace “Ru is H” with “R11 is H”. Claim 31 is objected to because of the following informalities: On page 8, line 25, please replace “Ru is C1-C3” with “R11 is C1-C3”. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim 31 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Choi et al. (KR 10-2016-0044877). Example 4 in Table 1 of Choi et al. discloses a composition comprising 20 wt % of acryloylmorpholine, 10 wt % of tris(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate triacrylate, 10 wt % of tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate, and 5 wt % of photoinitiator. Claim 31 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Cai et al. CN 109912753). Example 1 of Cai et al. discloses a composition comprising 43.23 wt % of acryloylmorpholine, 19.21 wt % of tris(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate triacrylate, 9.6 wt % of 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate, and 1.92 wt % of photoinitiator. Allowable Subject Matter Claims 1, 2, 4, 6-12, 14, 23-25, and 28-30 are allowed for the same reasons elucidated in the notice of allowance dated February 25, 2026. Claims 18 and 20 will be allowed upon revisions to overcome claim objections, supra. Any inquiry concerning this communication or earlier communications from the examiner should be directed to Rip A.
