Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA . Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim 1 is rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Lu (US 2022/0107706). Regarding claim 1, Lu teaches display device (See Abstract and Figs 1-2, 5-6, 10); a substrate (substrate 1, ¶32, Fig 1) including a display area (AA, Fig 1, ¶33), a first peripheral area (arranging region LA, ¶53, Fig 2) surrounding the display area (AA), a second peripheral area (LA3, LA2, LA1, Figs 5-6) positioned in a first direction from the display area (AA), a bending area (BA, Fig 5) positioned between the first peripheral area (NA) and the second peripheral area (LA); a first power line (a first power supply voltage line 51, ¶63, Fig 6) disposed in the second peripheral area (LA3) on the substrate, wherein the first power line (61) receives a first power voltage; a second power line (a second power supply voltage line 52, ¶63, Fig 6) disposed in the second peripheral area (LA3) on the substrate, positioned farther from a center of the second peripheral area (LA3) than the first power line (51), wherein the second power line (52) receives a second power voltage; and a sensing layer (a touch layer 3, ¶44, Fig 5) disposed on the substrate, wherein the sensing layer includes a touch electrode (300, ¶44) and a touch insulating layer (33, ¶61) contacting the first power line (51) and the second power line (52) in the second peripheral area (LA3). Allowable Subject Matter Claims 2-10 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. Claims 11-20 are allowed. Regarding claim 11, none of prior art of record teaches limitation "a third power line disposed in the second peripheral area on the substrate, and positioned closer to the center of the second peripheral area than the first power line, wherein the third power line receives the second power voltage; and a sensing layer disposed on the substrate, wherein the sensing layer includes a touch electrode and a touch insulating layer contacting the first power line, the second power line, and the third power line in the second peripheral area."
