Election/Restriction
Applicant’s arguments, filed 10/21/25, with respect to a restriction requirement of claims 1-2, 4, 7-9, 11-13, 18-21, 23-24, 27-28 and 30-31 have been fully considered and are persuasive. Therefore, claims 1-2, 4, 7-9, 11-13, 18-21, 23-24, 27-28 and 30-31 are now pending in the application.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of the second paragraph of 35 U.S.C. 112:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 23, 28 and 30 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112, second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which applicant regards as the invention.
In claim 23, line 4, the language, “the second dielectric block” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 23, line 4, the language, “the reflector” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 23, line 6, the language, “the third dielectric block” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 23, line 6, the language, “the reflector” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 23, line 8, the language, “the fourth dielectric block” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 23, line 8, the language, “the reflector” lacks an antecedent basis.
In claim 30, line 1, the language, “the first through fourth dipole arms” lacks an antecedent basis.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-2, 4, 7-9, 11-13, 18-21, 24, 27 and 31 are allowed.
Claims 23, 28 and 30 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112, second paragraph, but would be allowable if overcome the above rejection.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. The patents to Frenkel, Zhang, Sone, Tanaka and Leisten are cited as of interested and illustrated a similar structure to a base station antenna.
