DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
Examiner’s Note
This Office Action is in response to application filed on 11/6/2023, where claims 1-14 are currently pending.
Claimed Priorities
The instant application claims foreign priority to the Chinese Patent Application No. 202310900322.0. The benefit of earlier filing date is not given to the claims because no certified copy of the priority document has been received. As such, no benefit is given to the earlier filing date.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-14 would be allowable if overcome all of the following rejections.
The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: regarding independent claim 1, the primary reason that it is allowable over the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 114938029 (Li), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 113612254 (Tian), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 116247946 (Gao), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 115714424 (Zhu), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 108616141 (Huang), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 109600063 (Lin), the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 109672212 (Zheng), and the Chinese Patent Doc. No. 116073437 (Sun), is because although the cited prior art above teach many of the limitations and similar subject matter, the cited prior art do not teach all of the limitations in the specific combination as currently recited in claim 1.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(B) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claims 1-14 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor, or for pre-AIA the applicant regards as the invention.
Claims 1-14 are rejected to because of the following: independent claim 1 recites a number of limitations that do not have any association with any other limitation(s). The specific limitations are “performing park coordinate transformation on the three-phase voltage of the grid-connected point of the grid-connected inverter and the three-phase output current to obtain an actual voltage input value and an actual current input value”, “performing phase-locked loop processing on a voltage of the grid-connected point of the inverter to obtain a grid-connected phase”, “generating, by a power control module, a current command value required by a current control module”, “generating a dq voltage signal by the current control module using a sliding mode current control method, and determining system stability via a system asymptotic stability equation”, and “obtaining a PWM modulated voltage control signal via inverse park transformation, and filtering out high-order harmonics by a LCL filter to achieve grid-connected control” They are recited in a way that each limitation is an individual limitation with no clear connection to the overall subject matter of the claim and/or no clear indication to how it/they address the shortcomings of the prior art and to achieve the intended improvement. Specifically, all the information obtained and generated by the above limitations are not being used in and/or associate with any of the limitation and/or element in claim 1. Therefore, claim 1 merely recites a collection of unassociated limitations. The purpose of these limitations is unclear as to how are they associate with and/or contribute to the overall subject matter of claim 1. As such, it is unclear to one of ordinary skill in the art whether they are necessary limitations. For the above reason(s), render the claim indefinite.
Claims 2-14 are rejected to as having the same deficiencies as the claim they depend from.
Claims 8-14 are rejected to because of the following: claim 8 recites the elements “current control module”, “sliding mode current control method”, “dq voltage signal”, “current command value”, and “PWM modulated voltage control signal”. Each of the elements are recited with the article “a”, which indicates each element is the first instance of each respective element. However, each of the elements are also recited in claim 1, which claim 8 depends from. It is unclear whether they are referring to the same elements as recited in claim 1 or they are different and distinct from the ones recited in claim 1. As such, renders the claim indefinite. If they are referring to the same elements as recited in claim 1, it is suggested to amend each recitation of the elements above to recite the article “the” to clearly indicate the reference. If they are intended to be different and distinct element from the ones recited in claim 1, it is suggested to amend each recitation of the elements above to recite an unique identifier, e.g., first, second, third, etc., to clearly distinguish them.
Claims 9-14 are rejected to as having the same deficiencies as the claim they depend from.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant’s disclosure.
US 20220320865 (Zhang) – discloses method for stability control of virtual synchronous generator.
CN 116316797 (Zhang) – discloses method and system for normalization evaluation of grid-connected inverter.
