CTNF 18/523,311 CTNF 79126 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status 07-03-aia AIA 15-10-aia The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. In response to the restriction requirement, the Applicant elected claims 1, 4-5, 9, 12-13, 17, and 19 for further examination. As a result, claims 2-3, 6-8, 10-11, 14-16, 18, and 20 are withdrawn from further prosecution. Claim Objections 07-29-01 AIA Claim s 1 objected to because of the following informalities: The claim recites “the collected logging data” (lines 6-7) with insufficient antecedent basis . Appropriate correction is required. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 07-30-02 AIA The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. 07-34-14 AIA Claim s 1, 9, and 17 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph, as being incomplete for omitting essential structural cooperative relationships of elements, such omission amounting to a gap between the necessary structural connections. See MPEP § 2172.01. The omitted structural cooperative relationships are: The step of “identifying that the first set of values do not correspond to the collected logging data” does not link to the further steps in the claim body . Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 07-07-aia AIA 07-07 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – 07-08-aia AIA (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. 07-15-aia AIA Claim(s) 1, 5-6, 9, 12-13, 17, 19 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102 (a)(1) as being anticipated by Chen et al. (US 2022/0381130) . Regarding to claims 1, 9, 17: Chen et al. discloses a method for improving a computer model, the method comprising: identifying a formula to associate collected data with a set of known parameters of a sample ( FIGs. 1 and 4: The symbolic regression model or the initial candidate model associates the identified facies from the measurements (210) and the Archie parameters from the core samples (202) ); calculating a first set of values according to the formula based on the known parameters of the sample; identifying that the first set of values do not correspond to the collected logging data ( FIG. 5: During the training the initial candidate model 508, the termination condition (510) is not reached when the output data does not correspond to labeled data ); identifying an updated formula to calculate a second set of values; and identifying that the second set of values correspond to the collected data, wherein the updated formula is classified as a trained formula based on the identification that the second set of values correspond to the collected data, and wherein the trained formula is associated with the computer model ( FIG. 4, step 404: The symbolic regression model is trained or updated to output a formation model. In other words, the formation model is a trained model representing the received data associated with the reservoir formation ). Regarding to claims 4, 12 : wherein the sample is located in at least one of a wellbore or a cutting taken from the wellbore ( FIG. 1: Wellbore 122 ) Regarding to claims 5, 13, 19 : further comprising accessing data sensed in a wellbore; performing evaluations according to the updated formula based on the sensed wellbore data; and identifying parameters of a subterranean formation of the wellbore based on the evaluations being performed according to the updated formula ( FIG. 4: The determined formation model is used to estimate property of reservoir formation ).
