Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1-3, 10 and 13-14 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Zou, et al. (English machine translation of CN 108110349A, herein Zou).1 2 Regarding claims 1, 10 and 13-14, Zou teaches a charging method, charging device, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and electronic equipment for a secondary battery, comprising: sending, by a battery management system (BMS), first charge information to a charging source, wherein the first charge information comprises a first charge power (paragraph 76); performing, by the charging source, a constant-power charging on the secondary battery according to the first charge power (paragraph 90-c); sending, by the BMS, a plurality of pulse discharge information to the charging source when a battery status parameter reaches a first predetermined value, wherein each pulse discharge information comprises a discharge power and a discharge duration (paragraph 88); and performing, by the charging source, multiple constant-power pulse discharges on the secondary battery according to the discharge power and the discharge duration in the plurality of pulse discharge information (paragraph 91). Regarding claim 2, Zou teaches the battery status parameter comprises a state of charge (SOC) of the secondary battery (paragraph 77). Regarding claim 3, Zou teaches the first predetermined value is above 50% SOC (paragraph 88).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 4-9 and 11-12 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
