Claims 1-20 have been submitted for examination and are pending further prosecution by the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
Allowable Subject Matter
With respect to independent claim 1, the prior art of record does not teach or suggest, either solely or in combination, the limitations "receive a transfer instruction from the client portal to direct a transfer amount from the accumulated-resource amount to a second logical storage location which is different from the first logical storage location; and initiate a pull transfer of the transfer amount to the second logical storage location prior to the future date bypassing the first logical storage location." when considered in combination with the other limitations of claim 1.
With respect to independent claim 9, the prior art of record does not teach or suggest, either solely or in combination, the limitations "receive a transfer instruction to direct a transfer amount from the accumulated-resource amount to a second logical storage location which is different from the first logical storage location; and initiate a pull transfer of the transfer amount to the second logical storage location prior to the future date bypassing the first logical storage location." when considered in combination with the other limitations of claim 9.
With respect to independent claim 14, the prior art of record does not teach or suggest, either solely or in combination, the limitations "displaying an interface for providing a transfer instruction from the client portal to direct a transfer amount of the accumulated-resource amount to a second logical storage location which is different than the first logical storage location; and initiate a pull transfer of the transfer amount to the second logical storage location prior to the future date bypassing the first logical storage location." when considered in combination with the other limitations of claim 14.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
Claim 8 and 20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which applicant regards as the invention.
Claim 8 recites the limitation "generate and provide to the client portal the accumulated-resource amount and the resource amount from the first logical storage location.". There is insufficient antecedent basis for the resource amount in the claim. In the interests of compact prosecution and for the purposes of examination, this limitation will be interpreted as "generate and provide to the client portal the accumulated-resource amount and the transfer
Claim 20 recites the limitation "generating and providing to the client portal the accumulated-resource amount and the resource amount from the first logical storage location.". Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. AU 2004323839 B2 discloses a method and system for operating a payment transaction system by a financial institution whereby, in one embodiment, the system receives a payment instruction directed from a buyer to a supplier, the payment instruction scheduled for a future date. The system allows the supplier to access scheduled payment instructions stored in a computer database of the system and bring forward the scheduled future date to a date prior to said future date by creating a new instruction for a second payment, allowing the supplier to receive funds to their account before the scheduled future date. KR 20170016262 A discloses a wristwatch-type mobile terminal in communication with a bank server and a payment server for performing financial transactions. In one embodiment, a mobile terminal user schedules a periodic automatic transfer of funds between the user's bank account and a remittee account to take place at future dates. By manipulating the wristwatch-type mobile terminal, the user can perform an advance transfer of funds so that the transfer is performed at a point earlier than the scheduled automatic transfer time. The NPL document "Fintech" is Wikipedia's entry on the subject.
