DETAILED ACTION
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Election/Restrictions
Applicant’s election without traverse of invention I in the reply filed on 1/19/2026 is acknowledged.
Claims 10-20 are withdrawn from further consideration pursuant to 37 CFR 1.142(b) as being drawn to a nonelected invention, there being no allowable generic or linking claim.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
In the event the determination of the status of the application as subject to AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103 (or as subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 102 and 103) is incorrect, any correction of the statutory basis (i.e., changing from AIA to pre-AIA ) for the rejection will not be considered a new ground of rejection if the prior art relied upon, and the rationale supporting the rejection, would be the same under either status.
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
(a)(2) the claimed invention was described in a patent issued under section 151, or in an application for patent published or deemed published under section 122(b), in which the patent or application, as the case may be, names another inventor and was effectively filed before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claims 1,4, 5, 7, and 8 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Youxia CN114109158 (A).
Youxia discloses:
Claim 1- a housing (100, 200) having a cable outlet (105, 106); a driver (300) disposed inside the housing; an output rotor (500) configured to be driven to rotate forward or backward by the driver, the output rotor having a fitting part (5011); and a first cable and a second cable (502, 503), a first end of the first cable and a first end of the second cable fitting to the fitting part (see figure 5), a second end of the first cable and a second end of the second cable extending out of the housing through the cable outlet (see figure 6), the output rotor configured to rotate forward to drive the first cable through the fitting part (the device performs this function), and the output rotor configured to rotate backward to drive the second cable through the fitting part (the device performs this function.
Claim 4- wherein the housing comprises a cable routing slot (unnumbered see figures 1, 2, and 6), the first cable and/or the second cable passes through the cable routing slot and extends toward the cable outlet (see figure 6).
Claim 5- wherein the housing comprises a first housing (100) and a second housing (200), the first housing and the second housing are configured to define an installation space, and the driver and the output rotor are disposed in the installation space (see figure 1).
Claim 7- further comprising a match gear set (400) comprising an input gear (401) and an output gear (402), wherein the driver drives the input gear to rotate, and the output gear is configured to engage with the output rotor to drive the output rotor to rotate (the device performs this function).
Claim 8- wherein the driver comprises a motor (301), a rotation axis of a motor shaft of the motor is at an angle with a center axis of the input gear (see figure 6), and the motor shaft has external threads (302) engaging with the input gear (401).
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 2, 3, 6, and 9 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: the prior art neither disclose nor renders obvious the claimed combinations including:
wherein the output rotor comprises a groove extending along a rotation direction of the output rotor, the fitting part is defined by the groove, the first end of the first cable is inserted into the groove and in contact with a first end surface of the groove, and the second cable is inserted into the groove and in contact with a second end surface of the groove
wherein the first housing comprises the cable routing slot, a first side of the cable routing slot is open towards the second housing, the second housing comprises a stop rib, and the stop rib is located on the first side of the cable routing slot.
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. US 2025/0333986 discloses a device with similar structure.
