Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102
The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action:
A person shall be entitled to a patent unless –
(a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention.
Claim(s) 1-20 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by WO2022010971 cited by Applicant .
WO2022010971 discloses electrically powered aircraft comprising first propulsion system comprising first propeller , a first drive shaft coupled to first propeller , first primary winding configured for rotating fist drive shaft and firs redundant winding configured for rotating fist drive shaft wherein second electric propulsion system comprising second propeller r, second drive shaft coupled to second propeller , a second primary winding configured for rotating the second drive shaft and second redundant winding for rotating second drive shaft, third propulsion system comprising a third propeller , a third drive shaft drivingly coupled to third propeller , a third primary winding congaed for rotating third drive shaft and third redundant winding to r rotating third drive shaft, fourth propulsion system comprising fourth propeller , a fourth drive shaft drivingly coupled to fourth propeller , fourth primary winding for rotating fourth drive shaft and a fourth redundant winding configured for rotating the fourth drive shaft , a fist battery , second battery , fist power distribution circuit to transfer power from fist battery to fist primary winding and fourth primary winding , a second power distributing circuit to transfer power from second battery to second primary winding and third primary winding , third power distribution circuit to transfer power from fist battery to second redundant winding and third redundant winding and fourth power distribution configured to transfer power from second battery to fist redundant winding to fourth redundant winding , see fig 1A-2B, EPU 1-12, proprotors 114 , fig 4 partial motors 402A, 402B shaft 406, paragraph 52, fig 4 , block diagram of portion of power distribution to an electric propulsion unit , paragraph 60 , proprotor, refers to variable pitch propeller’. Paragraph 62 , EPU (112,114) include motor it is inherent motor has winding , besides there is no substantial difference between a primary winding and redundant winding , so either one of partial motors can be considered as the primary wining , while the other one can be considered as the redundant wining,
Fig 1A-2B, EPU 1,6,7,12 EPU 1,6,7,12 are sequentially equivalent to the first to fourth propulsion assemblies . Fig 4 motor controller 408A and 408B, buses 460,462. Paragraph 73 EPU on opposite sides of wings an opposite sides of longitudinal axis 280 may be powered by same battery pack so that minimal roll and pitch moments will occur in the event the battery pack fails, Paragraph 79 fist battery pack 1 can power a fist partial motor of EPU 1 a first partial motor of EP12 a fist partial motor of EPU 6 and first partial motor of EPU7 it is inherent that motor controller 408A an bus 460 form a power distribution circuit , the same applies to 408B and 462 and remain partial motors of EPU 1,6,7,12 are powered by single battery pack selected from battery packs 2-5 and power configuration of EPU 1,6,7,12 applies to their EPU sets ( e.g. EPU 2,5,8,11 form a second EPU set , EPU 3,4,9 and 10 form a third EPU set. )
Rest of claims are disclosed as well, such as claim 2 in abstract vertical take off and landing . Claim 3 left wing and right wings see fig 2A. Claim 4 tilt , in paragraph 66. Claim 5 being opposed first propulsion system and fourth propulsion system , see fig 2A . Claim 8 contacts are disclosed in fig 3 , 316,318. Claim 20 EPU are disclosed in paragraph 71 up to 12 .
Conclusion
The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Prior art 12509238 and 20200140079 disclose aircraft .
