Office Action

§102
DETAILED ACTION This office action is in response to the communication filed 07/28/2026. Response to Arguments Applicant’s arguments with respect to the rejection(s) of claim(s) 1, 8, and 9 under Cho have been fully considered and are persuasive. Therefore, the rejection has been withdrawn. However, upon further consideration, a new ground(s) of rejection is made in view of the newly found prior art reference. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 102 The following is a quotation of the appropriate paragraphs of 35 U.S.C. 102 that form the basis for the rejections under this section made in this Office action: A person shall be entitled to a patent unless – (a)(1) the claimed invention was patented, described in a printed publication, or in public use, on sale, or otherwise available to the public before the effective filing date of the claimed invention. Claim(s) 1, 8, and 9 is/are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 102(a)(1) as being anticipated by Zhou et al. (“Zhou”, US 2023/0074022). Re claim 1, Zhou teaches a control method for a resonant converter [Fig 1, paragraph 78 teaches resonant converter], wherein the resonant converter comprises a primary side switch [S1] and a corresponding rectification switch [S2], the primary side switch is controlled by a first control signal [A], the rectification switch is controlled by a second control signal [B], and the method comprises: acquiring a voltage difference value [as shown in Fig 3A], wherein the voltage difference value is obtained by subtracting a voltage value of an output voltage [Vout] of the resonant converter from a reference voltage value [SP]; and adjusting at least one of a turn-on dead time or a turn-off dead time between the first control signal and the second control signal according to the voltage difference value [paragraphs 69-70]. Re claim 8, Zhou teaches adjusting a switching frequency of the primary side switch and a switching frequency of the rectification switch according to the voltage difference value, to adjust the output voltage [Fig 3A, via 32, paragraph 69]. Re claim 9, Zhou teaches a resonant converter [Fig 1], comprising: a switching circuit, wherein the switching circuit comprises a primary side switch [S1] controlled by a first control signal [A]; a resonant tank [as described in paragraph 78]; a transformer [as described in paragraph 78]; a synchronous rectification unit, wherein the synchronous rectification unit comprises a rectification switch [S2] controlled by a second control signal [B]; and a control unit [Fig 3A], configured to calculate a voltage difference value obtained by subtracting a voltage value of an output voltage [Vout] of the resonant converter from a reference voltage value [SP], and adjust at least one of a turn-on dead time or a turn-off dead time between the first control signal and the second control signal according to the voltage difference value [paragraphs 69-70]. Allowable Subject Matter Claims 2-7 and 10-18 are objected to as being dependent upon a rejected base claim, but would be allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims. The following is a statement of reasons for the indication of allowable subject matter: please see the office action dated 05/05/2026.
