Office Action

§112
CTNF 18/931,991 CTNF 99012 DETAILED ACTION Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA. This Office Action is responsive to the Applicant' s communication filed October 30, 2024. In view of this communication, claims 1-9 are now pending in the application. Priority 02-26 AIA Receipt is acknowledged of certified copies of papers required by 37 CFR 1.55. Information Disclosure Statement The information disclosure statement (IDS) submitted on October 30, 2024 is in compliance with the provisions of 37 CFR 1.97. Accordingly, the information disclosure statement is being considered by the examiner. Specification 06-11 AIA The title of the invention is not descriptive. A new title is required that is clearly indicative of the invention to which the claims are directed. Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112 07-30-02 AIA The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b): (b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention. The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph: The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention. 07-34-01 Claims 1-9 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention. Regarding Claims 1-4, and 8, the phrase “a corresponding one of” is repeated throughout the claim language, referring to the coils, the teeth, the turns, the retention grooves, the insulators, and the contact surfaces. It is unclear whether each second instance of “a corresponding one of” is referring to only the previous instance of “a corresponding one of” for each limitation, or to a separate, new instance of that limitation. For the purpose of examination, each of these second and subsequent instances are being interpreted as referring to the same limitation as the first instance. For example, “a corresponding one of the coils” in lines 17-18 of claim 1 is being interpreted as “the corresponding one of the coils”, referring back to the first instance of “a corresponding one of the coils” in line 15 of claim 1. Claims 2-9 are rejected due to their dependence on claim 1. Claim 4 recites the limitation "the other protrusions" in line 10. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim. For the purpose of examination, this limitation is being interpreted as “the other stopper protrusions”. Citation of Pertinent Prior Art 07-96 AIA The prior art made of record and not relied upon is considered pertinent to applicant's disclosure. Kim et al. (KR 20210036088 A) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 4 and 9. Kim et al. (US 20200395806 A1) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 8, 10, and 29-31. Jiang et al. (CN 106160294 A) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 1-2. Lange et al. (DE 102015208414 A1) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 2-4. Kong et al. (WO 2016111481 A1) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 4-8. Nommensen et al. (DE 102012224375 A1) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 4-5. Otsuji et al. (US 20060022550 A1) discloses relevant prior art in Figures 4-5, and 10-11 .
