DETAILED ACTION
Notice of Pre-AIA or AIA Status
The present application, filed on or after March 16, 2013, is being examined under the first inventor to file provisions of the AIA .
Claim Objections
Claim 19 is objected to because of the following informalities:
As to claim 19, “ lock signal ” recited in line 3 of the claim should be changed to “clock signal”. Appropriate correction is required.
Claim Rejections - 35 USC § 112
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112(b):
(b) CONCLUSION.—The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor regards as the invention.
The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph:
The specification shall conclude with one or more claims particularly pointing out and distinctly claiming the subject matter which the applicant regards as his invention.
Claim 15-16 and 19-20 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), second paragraph, as being indefinite for failing to particularly point out and distinctly claim the subject matter which the inventor or a joint inventor (or for applications subject to pre-AIA 35 U.S.C. 112, the applicant), regards as the invention.
As to claim 15, it is unclear whether “the scan gate signal” recited in lines 1-2 of the claim refers to “first scan gate signal”, “second scan gate signal”, “third scan gate signal” or “fourth scan gate signal” recited in claim 13. Which “scan gate signal” are you referring to?
As to claim 16, it is unclear whether “the scan gate signal” recited in line 9 of the claim refers to “first scan gate signal”, “second scan gate signal”, “third scan gate signal” or “fourth scan gate signal” recited in claim 13. Which “scan gate signal” are you referring to?
As to claim 16, it is unclear whether “the sensing gate signal” recited in line 10 of the claim refers to “first sensing gate signal”, “second sensing gate signal”, “third sensing gate signal” or “fourth sensing gate signal” recited in claim 13. Which “sensing gate signal” are you referring to?
Claim 19 recites the limitation “the sensing driving” in line 2 of the claim. There is insufficient antecedent basis for this limitation in the claim.
Claim 20 is rejected based on dependence on claim 19.
Allowable Subject Matter
Claims 1-14, and 17-18 are allowed.
Claims 15-16 and 19-20 would be allowable if rewritten to overcome the rejection(s) under 35 U.S.C. 112(b) or 35 U.S.C. 112 (pre-AIA ), 2nd paragraph, set forth in this Office action and to include all of the limitations of the base claim and any intervening claims.
